Master hypnotist Jeannie Spencer, founder of Invision Your Life, has opened a new office in Tin Town, improving access to a unique range of clinical hypnotherapy sessions that have been described as “transformative,” “life-changing” and even “a gift to humanity.”
“I’ve never met a more positive, compassionate and kind-hearted person than Jeannie,” raves one former client. “She helped me trust, believe and love myself. Jeannie’s work not only helped me work through depression, it inspired me to work toward the same incredible career of healing and helping.”
Spencer, a clinical hypnotherapist since 2002, has helped hundreds of people harness the transformative power of the mind. Renowned for her warmth, she’s been called a specialist in creating happiness and is undeniably a catalyst for positive change.
“When most people set goals, they do so at a conscious level, which limits you to less than 5 per cent of your potential,” explains Spencer. “Hypnosis allows you to change the subconscious beliefs that are holding you back. Whether you want to overcome anxiety, addiction, destructive relationships or even improve your athletic performance, you’ll be amazed what you can accomplish with hypnotherapy.”
While Spencer has begun seeing her clients for one-on-one sessions at her new office, it’s her group sessions that benefit most from the new space, which can accommodate up to 20 people. Her most popular group sessions are her HypnoBirthing classes, in which she helps prepare expectant mothers and their partners for a natural, comfortable childbirth while remaining calm, relaxed and “fully present.”
“Society has largely prepared women to fear childbirth, which just ramps up the anxiety and becomes a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy,” says Spencer. “Through HypnoBirthing, you learn to achieve a natural state of relaxed focus. Fear and tension are replaced with confidence and comfort, and your natural birthing instincts are allowed to engage.”
Equally popular are Spencer’s “My Mind My Garden” workshops, which she designed to create a “common language” between children and their parents. These parent-and-child group sessions for children as young as six, and a variation designed for youths up to 17 years old, explore the functions of the mind through fun activities and experiential assignments. Children learn how to implement positive habits that build confidence and self-esteem, distinguish between positive and negative messages and recognize the effects each has on their lives.
