RP Copywriting’s new account manager looks familiar because she is

She’s going to need a bigger business card.

RP Copywriting’s “editorial rock star” Nancy Miller is adding yet another job title – copywriter, content manager and, now, account manager.

“Nancy’s been working with me in various capacities since 2010, primarily as a writer, but also as an editor and content and project manager,” says Ryan Parton, president of RP Copywriting. “No matter what she’s doing, she can be counted on to bring professionalism, skill and a sense of humour to the task.”

A sign of the times

Already Vancouver Island’s largest copywriting and content marketing firm, RP Copywriting’s business continues to expand. Increased activity saw the addition of a new full-time copywriter last year, and this latest staffing change is a just one more sign of busy times.

“We’ve been so occupied helping clients with their content marketing plans that we haven’t had a chance to implement our own ideas,” says Parton. “It’s another case of the shoemaker’s kids going barefoot. Well call her Fluevog, because Nancy’s going to start making some shoes!”

While Miller will still be devoting much of her time to writing duties, she’ll also be drumming up business and reaching out to new clients by upping the company’s online presence and introducing a new series of quarterly specials.

“It’s a good fit, because now I can work with clients right from the get-go,” she says. “I’ll be able to help them assess their current marketing situation, develop a plan and generate the content for it. From media releases and blog campaigns to lead generation and landing pages, I’m excited to keep helping local businesses get the word out.”

And it doesn’t stop there . . .

In an effort to get in the right frame of mind for this new aspect of her job, Miller says she’s begun watching re-runs of Mad Men and WKRP, and that she may soon try out day-drinking.
